To develop important personality traits like patience, discipline and self control parents should use a short term children reward system. It not only encourages a child but also help to establish new habits.

It can be used to reward a child on completing his homework diligently or helping with the household tasks. It will help children to recognize their efforts and keep them motivated.

The selection of reward varies with the age of a child and his preferences. A reward system could Include a game at recess, free time with a friend,teach a game,lunch with teacher, book reading,assist teacher for a day etc.

You can use a reward chart to show a child’s successes. It can be a best combination if we add some oral appreciation too.
